What is included—and how to read it
Filter by conflict, geography or record type. Geographic tags use the existing title and summary; entries without a supported location are explicitly marked “Location not yet indexed.” A geographic match does not assign a paper to a current conflict. Summaries explain what each publication covers; inclusion does not endorse its conclusions.
22 scholarly publications with verified publisher or institutional records, identified through 20 October 2026. The shortcut filters to scholarly records.
Search scope & coverage
Web searches covered warfare ecology, armed conflict and biodiversity, war-related soil and sediment contamination, military training, submerged munitions, wetland functions, and militarised landscapes. Records were checked against publisher, PubMed, or author-institution pages. Year follows the journal issue or online-publication year reported in the record.
The scholarly collection includes research articles, reviews, data descriptions, conceptual studies and an edited scholarly volume; it excludes news, conference abstracts and unverified candidates. The separately labeled contextual sources include reports, investigations, institutional news summaries and a meeting presentation. These contextual records are not counted as scholarly publications. It is not an exhaustive database search or a final evidence-screened corpus. Inclusion does not establish whether pollutants remain in place, move, or change over time.
Scholarly records checked 20 October 2026; atlas source summaries linked 21 October 2026. Reports and summaries are labeled separately and can refer to the same underlying work. This selected collection is not the full Evidence Explorer corpus or a systematic review. Some publisher pages require a subscription.
